About

Let me introduce myself, I am Adele and I am really pleased you have come to my site. As you know from my homepage, I am a Coach, but I am also the mum of two gorgeous children and live in a sleepy little village in the heart of Cambridgeshire. I’m originally from Derby which I still frequent to visit my family and I grew up as an avid performer on the stage, in film and TV. I love making people smile and laugh and one day would really like to go on a stand-up comedy course just for the fun of it.

As young as I can remember I never had a desperate passion for a chosen career, unlike my sister, who always wanted to be a Police Officer. Sorry tell a lie, I wanted to be a ballerina, but short legs put a stop to that. At one time I wanted to be a Criminal Psychologist, like Fitz from Cracker (if anyone remembers that) but everyone told me that was too difficult to get into. I then wanted to be an RAF pilot, but was told they would not take women. I tried for a while as a professional actress the rejection does nothing for my self esteem. I knew I didn’t want to sit at a desk all day and at 16, if the army office had been open on that day after school when I was really fed up, I might have had a very different life.  All I ever knew was that I really wanted to make a positive difference to people’s lives the way some people have to mine. You see, being told you can’t do the career you want because of a factor you can’t control i.e. gender can really have a profound impact on the life choices and decisions we make. Luckily as a woman, I have never felt held back because of my gender but I have experienced many glass ceilings in my life. Through coaching, I realised that there were many people in my life who wanted to push me up, and many who wanted to pull me down. The impact of the latter has been so significant that at times I have believed I was useless, when I have felt that I had no career progression, when I felt that I wasn’t achieving anything. Once I understood this and applied a coaching methodology, I was able to change the way I believed in myself and realise that #anythingispossible.

I was finally able to break free and live a life that full of experiences, achievements and gratitude. I am so grateful for coaching in how it has and is still helping me live my best life. Without it, who knows what would have happened.

Since I discovered coaching, I have ran 4 half marathons, 2 marathons, gained a promotion, cleared my debts, trekked in Nepal, quit smoking, flew a plane and now I am writing a book. I am also a regular blogger for the Huffington Post and you can see all my posts here. None of this I used to think was possible, but now writing a bucket list has never been more fun.

What’s on your bucket list?

If you want to live your best life and smash those glass ceilings, drop me a line and let’s arrange a virtual coffee
